why should I order an anesthesia consult?
Anesthesia can be a daunting task for even anesthesiologists. We understand how stressful this can be, and we want to help! With each consult, we provide a personalized description of how we would approach anesthetizing your patient, which includes detailed drug protocols, anesthetic techniques and monitoring suggestions. Our primary focus is to limit the stress associated with anesthesia by giving you a step-by-step playbook on how to provide the best care possible for your patient.
what information do I need to provide for a consult?
We request the patient’s signalment, relevant medical history, pertinent diagnostic reports and description of the procedure(s) to be performed.
do I need an account to order a consult?
No, you may order a consult as a guest client. Your account information will only be saved when you set up a client account.
can I submit a consult for any animal species?
Although we love all creatures great and small, we provide consults for canine and feline patients, exclusively.
can I talk to a specialist regarding a submitted consult request?
Absolutely. Dr. B is available by phone (517) 303-5207 to answer any questions you may have. You may also reach out via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
how long will it take to receive a completed consult after I have submitted my request?
A STAT consult will be completed within one hour after the request is received. Standard consults will be completed within four hours after the request is received.
can I access past consults on my account?
Absolutely. By logging in to your client portal you will be able to review and print past consults at any time.
do you provide continuing education?
